I think the system icons like battery, signal, WiFi, bluetooth etc are marginally bigger after flashing latest notification mod.

Maybe that's how it is on the global ROM?

1st of all, there is no rule..you can use this port any way you like.

2nd, I don't really know nor has any experience regarding MIUI Premium, so I guess the only way to make sure whether this port works on MIUI Premium or not is by flashing it, just make sure you also download the uninstaller so you can use it to restore or fix bootloop.
