Filesystem got corrupted after flash

Hello,

After installing the 12.6.30 on MI11 using TWRP, my filesystem somehow got corrupted.

1. The Files app closed right after I open it with the popup "disconnected"
2. I don't have any apps installed anymore, neither photos in the gallery
3. When I go into the storage usage, it shows 250Gb occupied by "System". When I install the apps from the google backup, apparently, there is no space anymore.

Further symptoms:

I am able to mount the USB from TWRP and see the internal storage from my PC. But when I plug a USB when the phone is booted normally, I don't see any filesystem mounted.

I did WIPE for data, cache and dalvik to remove the previous OS, but I did not touch system.

Anyone any ideas?

I did, and it shows success, then I load into a new system, activate the phone and the issue pesists -- System shows 250GB

When I try to upload a ROM on /sdcard and install it, it feels there are some errors (perhaps decrypting the filesystem? because when it initially asks for the password, I just cancell and move on).

It is your phone screen unlock password

What screen lock method does your phone use? If you use both pattern and pin at the same time, it will not be decrypted on twrp

I changed it to password only. All other methods are off. Still does not work.
I also checked that /data has a filesystem f2fs, while I presume it should be Ext4, according to manu guides such as https://appuals.com/how-to-fix-twrp-unable-to-mount-storage-internal-storage-0mb/
If I try Wipe - repair FS on the data, it fails with the error.

1. Even if you turn off other screen unlocking methods. But I assume it's still stored somewhere in the sytem.
2. To fix this problem, install a rom that still has the original recovery (eg fastboot rom or china rom). Then go to the original recovery and select wipe data.
3. After wiping data, install twrp according to instructions (should copy rom with adb push command)

Installation completed. Rebooted.

All works now. The System occupies 14.85 GB. (Despite of the weird error during fastboot: error: Cannot generate image for userdata. Hope it is not major)

If the error appears while you install the fastboot rom, no problem. When you install through twrp, no error appears, it is successful.
