Encryptage rom?

Hello.


I wanted to know if it was possible to encrypt the phone without risk for the rom and for twrp? I do not want to block my phone. I have the rom Xiaomi.eu 18.12.13 and twrp v14 (XDA).

How long does it usually takes? I had mine encrypting for more than 5h and I had to interrupt it because i needed my phone for the next day.

Hello.

I tried to encrypt the rom yesterday. I click encrypted, but it did not do anything. it must have taken an hour. the phone has restarted to encrypt the rom. it lasted all night. and this morning phone block, I had to foater and lose my data you phone.

Do you have a solution ? thank you

The same with me!
I pressed encryption.
The mobile phone has made a restart, then after 36 hours have broken off.
All data gone and no encryption. As it looks it does not work on this mobile phone with the EU ROM.

Edit: i use MIUI 10.3 8.12.20

I use [RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP for MIX 2S V14 from XDA.
My phone is a mi Mix 2s 6/128.
How long does the encryption take?
I reinstalled the ROM and encrypted it immediately afterwards.
It now runs for 9 hours

hello,

I use twrp v14 from xda and mimix2s rom xiaomi.eu 18.12.20. i also esdsayer with twrp v13 and rom 18.12.13, but nothing.
the phone reboot to encrypt and stay locked on the logo "MIX" all night.
when i want to restart it, i have a message that it does not work and i have to do a reset data.

what twrp do you advise me to use the encrypt function?

Same as me. it did not work. I had to do wipe data and reinstall the rom.

We are many to hope for a real solution, because it is mandatory to have encryption working.
We can get it by tripping fstab but it is not convenient at all. (you have posts explaining it in this forum)
This issue is reported on almost all Miui custom rom and 99.9% of the phone model!
This is a SERIOUS security flaw.

EDIT: I know that if we want to easily encrypt and have good security we may come back to official rom and relock the bootloader.
But it is out of question...

But the today subject is all about ENCRYPTION steps for non encrypted rom. We would be happy to be able to run encryption from row.
Issue is on MI MIX2S, MI6 and MI8SE as reported.
