Newer devices, like Mi 10 series and Mi 11, already use F2FS for data partition (cache is still ext4) out of the box. Older devices don't seem to support it.

I guess the POCO F1 doesn't. I tried all sorts of things, but it refuses to boot after clean flashing MIUI 12. I'll try only the data partition and leave cache on EXT4 to see if that works. I read somewhere that is worth trying as well.
