I'm looking to get a Mi with LTE Band 20 (800Mhz)Supported
Since I'm going to China for a long visit.....as well drop by a Mi Store.
Question: Anybody knows if the Mi Store in Shanghai or Beijing sells the international edition?
As fas as I know the following Mi models have an international/global edition
Technical background:
For those still unaware. Use of the bands is depending on:
1: Antenna's
2: Patent fees paid
Within the Mi its a chip which is (hard-)coded with the bands released for use.
Other than this 'different programmed' chip the phones are identical.
Changing the firmware cannot release any additional (band 20/800Mhz) bands.
