As Xiaomi has put the redmi note 8 Ginkgo to EOL I consider buying a Poco F3
So I read a lot of "bad bad camera" stuff which scares me a little, because that's a very important feature!
Is it really that bad?
In XDA forums there are recommendations for GCams with configs. Does that help?

How long is the waiting time for unlocking?

is there a EU ROM working TWRP?

g-cam works fine for me and is an improvement.
Waiting time for unlocking was one week.
Currently the eu rom is updated in fastboot mode - due to android 12 (as far as I know this will change)

Lol! They are competitors comments!
Camera is good and with multiple modded GGGam available around....
unlocking was 168h and TWRP is available for Android 11 rom. (but will come soon for Android 12).
I have mine since april and no regret!

So I assume the camera isn't worse than the ginkgo one... BTW never understood the hype about GCamthing. I think would stay at A11 until a functional and somehow stable 12 version is available. Two more question before I search the internet.
Can you use two Sims plus sdcard? Wasn't possible on old "whyred" note 5.

And I wonder if it's worth 100€ more for the 8/256 version.

nope no sdcard slot available with 2 sims
Cam is ok for me, really a great phone

I remember some years ago on XDA somebody reported about a phone from Amazon and the bootloader was locked and not possible to unlock because of the Amazon brand. But it was not a Xiaomi. Just a little doubt... that's all

Okay, I'm unlocked
My Plan is to stay on A 11
Is it better to install the last A11-fastboot wekkly or the last stable?
Is it possible to install TWRP then - does it make sense? I mean in my old device I used TWRP to have a "little root access" to clean up the system and AdBlock with /etc/hosts etc.
When I flash a fastboot-ROM it will be overwritten anyways... right?
otherwise I could boot TWRP over fastboot, but I read that then no data will be visible... right?
Mmmmhh, sooo many questions - most I will have to figure out myself - fingers crossed not to brick the furious phone.

formating data was a little tricky... kill adb shell, pull cable, unmount everything manually... Finally worked then

I watched a video by a guy named Munchy on youtube and another Australian guy before I installed EU stable on my F3. I've never done anything like this before so everything was new to me. I used the same files you listed and my setup seems fine for my usage. It's a good phone!
