Hi guys,

since some hours some apps (Outlook, Gmx mail, duckduckgo browser, calendar miui) are crashing, maybe more apps but I only tried these. I changed nothing today.
I tried already a restart. My phone is not rootet, only unlocked bootloader and xiaomi.eu, no dual apps, other launcher or something. I am on the stable 12.0.2 since it released.
Crash Reports for example:

Awesome guy! It works! Have uninstalled the update and with version 87 everything works again!

Still the question remains, how it suddenly came to this. An update of WebView I have not done today... (last update is from 12.03.2021)

How do you uninstall this?

In my Redmi Note 6 Pro, Android System Webview shows as disabled and there is no option to uninstall it
If you have installed Google Chrome, you should uninstall it/install previous Chrome app version (buggy version is 89.0.4389.105 for both Chrome and WebView).

also tried to clear data and uninstall update for system webbiew but this is not successful for me on my MI9
All my emails accounts are no more working on xiaomi mail apk

I see "Invalid login or password"...

Also if you don't use Xiaomi.eu ROM, that's not the right place to ask for help here. ;)

Try Mi Community forum => https://c.mi.com/global/forum.php

:)

I can confirm - the Android System WebView update has restored functionality on the Xioami Mi 10 (global 12.0.6).

It is a Bug created by the Google developers. Open PlayStore, search for Android System WebView and download the update.
TY it works for me too ... but it is very strange for me.

FYI, I tried to clean the app data. So the app worked fine, but the next time I reloaded it it crashed.

Next one to report this WebView crashing issue gets banned.
People completely lost it. Over 15 threads opened for the same issue? You gotta be kidding me.

For me, uninstalling updates for Chrome, clearing all data and then updating it again seems to have done the trick. I no longer see the msa related message
