Hi guys, good news for ROM developers and Flashoholics.....
As title says, Android 5.0 source code released today.

https://android.googlesource.com/platform/build/ /lollipop-release

What do you think how long it takes for us to taste lollipop on our devices?

Is it only for Google proprietary devices or we can cook ROMs from these AOSP source code for our devices too?

What are the reactions from developers about this news ?

We can use mako's sources. It can take days or months. Be patient and don't ask for ETA.

Have you seen that? Ivan's job.
The kernel seems to be from a Nexus 4 one.
I was about to post the same info from there... Nice job done by Ivan.
Here are the Pics of that great Job....

I am really super excited by Ivan's speed of work. In 1 or 2 weeks we will have Beta builds for sure in our devices..

I'm excited too, wondering if the ROM will be flashable with TDB. I hope that.

Its useless as long it uses their sources that is.

Why Xperianpro ? You mean Mako's Kernel Source Code ?
But many current ROMs use Mako's Kernel right ? correct me if i am wrong...

Well AOSP uses Ivans which is highly optimised, not Mako source which CM uses.

"Doctor said I think battery life is good for this weekend and with mounting issue fixed I will compile a list of electrons in the maze of them your phone is dead and I did not have any permanent damage to make it." - Xiaomi MI2S keyboard

Any news on cm based lolipop ROM Xperian? Are you cooking something? I' m curious about ART speed

But so far Ivan's ROM has best battery life compared to CM & other ROMs... any Idea why it could be ?

Mokee uses ivan sources and is way stable than any other rom around, if installed properly that is.

In what way is it more stable?
I used both Mokee and CM I didnt really noticed any crashes on both ROM s but I avoid Mokee and AOSP because on CM I can have overclock to 2 GHz and still keeping it undervolted by 0.1 v.

In my experience, both multitasking and music listening works really good without the usual crack noises or sudden reboots I've had when using more than 4 or five apks (I mean like fb,whatsapp and chrome with four tabs without feeling any laggier). Maybe it is the combination of ivan sources and mokee optimization, I wouldn't know as I just found out about mokee's sources being ivan's ones a few days ago.

placebo? may be, but for me:
Mokee don't sleep about 5% of every hour (at night) and battery drain is better than 0.5%/1hour with gapps and whatsapp.
CM11 (M10, M11, with std kernel, khaon kernel, XperianPro kernel) don't sleep more than 10% of every hour without any activity of user and battery drain is minimum 1%/1hour even with undervolting (750 mV at 384MHz). BetterBatteryStats don't show any abnormal wakelocks. It seems kernel is not optimised for battery.
Antutu mokee - 30000, cm11 - 28000. smooth seems the same

Even if it has better battery life im pretty sure that performance is not high.

Placebo? Ha ha, may be you have not used Mokee's Rom for long time which is based on Ivan's Kernel.

I agree, he doesn't disclose what he does and how he does. But for that reason you can't say you don't believe in testing methods.
I have tested it on several occasions and also for n number of times that CM ROM doesn't give me that much stability and better battery life as Mokee's ROM.
This is the fact observed by many users not just me. You can't deny that man.

In terms of less number of auto reboots and while setting tweaks, it is applied properly and works. That I have hardly seem in CM ROM, either it reverts back to default setting or it doesn't work. For example in terms of cpu clock speed, even though I set Max cpu clock to 918, it changes itself to 1284Mhz on its own after each boot. This is not the case with mokee. And the interface is very smooth in mokee inspire of 918 max cpu freq, where as in CM ROM interface stutters. These are my observations.....

cm11 does not stutter on my mi2, i also don't have this reboot issue.
stuttering is exactly what miui6 does on my mipad.

Frequency wont stick unless you have kernel that supports Snake charmer or something that sort.
