[All-in-One] Xiaomi 14 (houji): Unlock Bootloader, Root, Flash TWRP, Flash ROM

I have the latest 1.0.11 aurora ROM installed, but I still get a message from the updater app "New apk for Google Pay fix 2024.05.22 released!" eventhough it is installed

Google Pay will stop working if the "device integrity" isn't valid anymore. This can be checked in the developer options of the Google Play Store app, btw:
Play Integrity
Labels:
[MEETS_BASIC_INTEGRITY, MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY]
This is not about the ROM, but about a missing/invalid device's fingerprint, which must be met in order to use Google Pay.

If the said notification has been received, simply download and install the latest "Google Pay Fix" to keep Pay working. Get it here:

When i check, I have BASIC and DEVICE integrity. (not strong ofcourse)
If I open the updater app, it says "New apk for Google Pay fix 2024.05.22"
If i check eu.xiaomi.module.inject under Apps, it is 2024.05.22
Does updater app have a bug?
Also, when I was on 1.0.9, it kept notifying me every few minutes that the update was available. It seemed quite aggressive. I think I even saw it as one of the higher battery users.

Oh okay, I'm also receiving the recurring notification about the latest pay fix myself. The only solution I know is to tick "don't show again" box for stopping regarding notifications...

I wasnt sure if that would stop an actual new notification.

I have a problem with unlocking via Community app. I don't see anybody has this kind of problem.
The phone is Xiaomi 14 Ultra, rom: 1.0.1.0.UNAMIXM

My whole family uses Xiaomi phones. I have my current phone Xiaomi 11 Ultra since it came out, about 3 years ago.
I have a Xiaomi account for 10 years, maybe more. And I have used xiaomi phones since Xiaomi Redmi 3. The reason I use them is because I can unlock them and use xiaomi.eu roms.

I have tried 3 accounts of mine, and I get the same error on every one of them. I don't want to wait 6 months.
Any solution to this?

I don't understand what bothered you about the announcement, but it's your business.
By checking "do not show again" you will no longer see the new version of GPay Fix when it is released.

It isn't complicated. Maybe you are not bothered by false update notifications, but that is your business.
A notification of of an update that you already have installed is not useful and counter productive as I need to remember the version number or check to compare if it is actually new.
I can check "do not show again" but I want to get a notification of an ACTUAL update. That's the whole point of an update notification.
Thus I am reported this bug here. Maybe this is the wrong place to report this bug but I don't know where.

It is not six months, but only 1 day until the next attempt. 6=month (m) and 1=day(d). So on June 1st, 2024. You misinterpreted it .

hi maybe someone is so kind how i am be able to update houji by usb otg. all the time twrp recognise otg as 80mb except i format to fat32 but then i cant copy the update file because its too large. i try different cables, sticks etc........

edit: solved

The problem is independent of Xiaomi.
The format of the USB Pendriver must be NTFS because it can handle large file sizes, fat32 does not recognize large file sizes.
Solution: Format Pendriver, and there is an option to choose the partition type.

A big thanks to everyone for this useful thread. I got a little bit confused, maybe because of reading the messages in random order :p

My houji just arrived and is based on OS1.0.20.0.UNCCNXM.
I somehow managed to apply for BL unlock authorisation, (via xiaomi community app), it told me to wait 9 days from today.
After reading all messages;
- Will I be able to really unlock the BL after given time?
- Will I be able to install Xiaomi.EU after unlocking the BL?
- If yes, shall I flash stable or nightly at first install? Would that make any difference?

edit:typo :/

You won't be able to unlock your phone this way.

thanks for the information. Disappointing though... but why do you think this unlcoking method is not going to work, is ti based on experience or there is a known limitation that i missed before ordering the device? Thanks!

It is a new limitation from Xiaomi.
Chinese devices cannot be unlocked unless you have a level 5 Chinese Mi account and some Chinese ID.
The option for users outside of mainland China is a paid service. For example NCunlock.

That's bad news. Thank you for clarification.

Hi All,
I have been encountering account error issues, I couldn't find a certain solution but the workaround was using different accounts. It worked that way. Fyi.

Hi.
I have 1 question. Why patch init_boot.img file instead boot.img ? I root a few phones, including Xiaomi and always patch boot.img.
If I patched boot.img, it's make permanent root instead temporarily. Not right?
Sorry, I'm not expert

If you don't want to fix init_boot.img, install magisk from TWRP.

No, not permanent, it gets over written each update. It's down to the way the boot partitions are created in newer phones storage. Keep a copy of the patched file to flash after each ROM update to return root.

Hi, I have a Chinese Xiaomi 14 unlocked directly from China dealer, with xiaomi.eu_HOUJI_OS1.0.42.0.UNCCNXM_14.zip
Also, I've got rooted, with Magisk, and Integrity Fix, and plaucurl modules, and Magisk hided. Also, I configure DenyList including bank apps. Bank apps work fine, except fingerprint bank app login. Typing password I will login into bank app normally.
I also installed XiaomiEUModule_2024.05.22.apk
Perhaps that's the error? With Magisk integrity modules, it's also necessary to flash those XiaomiEUModule?
Any help will be appreciated.
