Flash in fastboot mode using adb, you need to extract the .img file of orangefox zip file.

I try but after update to miui 11.0.1 pc doesn't recognize my phone anymore, before update everything was working
i try
instaling adb drivers , install qualcom drivers , check us debug in dev. mode also i mark file transfer in development mode,
restart phone and pc several timies, put phone in fast boot mode....etc

Problem solved:

branded cable from rock charges the phone, but pc can't recognise the phone
no name cable which i borrow from neighbor ....working

i use this steps, to overwrite twrp 3.3....with OrangeFox-R10.1_3-Stable-violet

  • Download the correct OrangeFox zip file
  • Extract recovery.img from the OrangeFox zip file, and copy recovery.img to your PC’s adb directory
  • Unlock your bootloader (skip if already done)
  • Install drivers and open up a command line window / terminal emulator on your PC
  • Next, switch off your phone and reboot to fastboot mode. [Press and hold Power+Volume down button together]
  • Go to the installed ADB Folder on your C drive.
  • Copy the recovery image file on the folder as well.
  • Now, press Shift key + right-click in the blank area inside the ADB folder.
  • You will see the open Command Window here option. Launch it.
  • Now, type the following commands in the command window and press enter:
  • fastboot devices

  • fastboot flash recovery (drag recovery file from folder here and hit enter)

  • when it is finished (look at photo 1) Press and hold Power+Volume UP button together]
  • Reboot in recovery by pressing vol UP + power keys till you will see OrangeFox splash (the keys may be may vary on your device)
  • After OrangeFox has booted up, check that everything is working – eg, that it has mounted the data partition successfully, and that the touchscreen works.
  • copy OrangeFox-R10.1_3-Stable-violet into your phone
  • Find and select the OrangeFox zip, tap on it, and swipe to install it (because OrangeFox Recovery needs some files from the zip)
  • After installation, the phone will automatically reboot into OrangeFox
  • Enjoy!

Fine!
Important point:
- Can you make clear the encryption status you get when starting Orange TWRP?
Does it asks for password or not?
Thanks

It doesn't ask for password.
Orange twrp must encrypt and ask for pw at opening.
Make sure you have the latest version and do a clean install that will reset the pw and make encryption working.
'(clean install is format data mandatory, so care your data.)

again, NO it didnt ask for password,i have latest orange ,nothing didnt encrypted, i didnt format data and everything works perfect

So your phone runs unencrypted and is open book if you loose it.
Right?
