New [21.5.27] Mi 9 Wireless charging crashing constantly

For me wireless charging doesn't work fine with latest update. Sometimes charging stucks and continues later or it charges very slowly. I have the original xiaomi pad.

Also I get the notification that the phone overheats, when I do some stuff like spotify while wireless charging.

Before 12.5 wireless charging worked like a charm.

Yeah, for me it crashes as well but less frequently. It may be more due to Android 11 than Miui 12.5.

Obviously it's Android 11, has nothing to do with MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi just haven't ported over the policies for wireless charging from Android 10 properly, as evident by missing permissions.

Don't know, haven't tested. I'm just wondering why this issue is not "popular". Probably lots of people use Qi and yet so few of them report it so i wonder if it happens only for some % of users.

Same for me, still charging is not working on latest beta. Will try to downgrade to evaluate if it's a hardware failure on my phone.

Did a clean flash of last pre Android 11 ROM - 20.12.9 ... guess what? Still not starting to charge... Seems to be a hardware failure on my device, so I'm going to send it in for repair... fuuu!

Try it on stock with a fastboot ROM first is my suggestion.

Tried latest global rom cepheus_global_images_V12.0.4.0.QFAMIXM_20210115.0000.00_10.0_global via MiFlash in fastboot... still nope. Qi hardware seems to be faulty.

I have the same issue(21.2.3), on Xiaomi Mi Wireless Fast Charger Stand charging is crashing and comes back but on the charging pad(20w) charging is crashing and it's not coming back also sometimes phone's getting really hot. Everything happened after upadate do miui 12.5

I am still having the same issue (21.2.24) with my Mi Wireless Charging Pad 10W and any quick charge adapter. Surprisingly, my macbook pro usb c charger works pretty well with the charging pad. No interruptions oder problems while charging my Mi9.

In the lockscreen settings, I have turned off Power menu access (when device is locked) and I am using the Flow charging animation. It seems that I don't have wireless charging issue anymore (need to confirm this using my car charger too). Perhaps it is the Power menu access that is the problem?

It still crashes with that setting off for me.

I wonder if Miui Global with Android 11 comes out if it will work there and if Xiaomi.eu will be able to copy that working part from there.
But I will switch probably anyway because of better power efficiency.

Blame Xiaomi, the problem is Android 11 and not the MIUI skin. But still, it's been a year since android 11 update and no fixes from Xiaomi... That's really sad.

To be honest I haven't heard about other companies that had problems with WIreless Charging on Android 11.

I have the same issue on my MI 11 ultra after last MIUI update. I've tried many ways to fix it but it's still the same. Wireless charging almost stops after a few seconds. Any ideas?

I went back to MIUI EEA and wireless charging works flawlessly.
So if you want to use it, the best way is to install Global Stable.
