[20.8.20 Mi9] notifications problem SOLVED

After the update the notifications don't work when the phone it's in suspension (locked and screen off).

Basically I must turn on the screen for the notifications to appear/sound.

The notifications works correctly if receive them while the phone screen is active or in use.

I use MIUI notification shade if you can test it too.

I tried using the MIUI notifications but still not working.. thanks anyway

Check autostart behaviour of the respective apps.

No problem on my 20.8.20 Mi 9 (dirty flash) either using MIUI notification style.

I manage to get it working by resetting all apps preferences.

I don't know what cause this because I simply update without touching anything else...

Did you do a factory reset? Cuz I have the same problem in my redmi K20

What worked for me was to reset apps preferences.
Go to settings>apps>manage apps>3dots>reset app preferences

In my case I had to turn on (autostart) in app preferences--whatsapp---autostart.
