We can bring OTA back online once we have a steady server. Free hosting links and various download locations prevents the use of OTA. So once again, OTA comes back when steady download servers come back. I wish it was easier, but sorry.

Thanks, its a step in the right direction, but I don't want to dampen the progress we have made in the last couple of days. But we still have a big issue to address which is a LONG TERM and STABLE HOSTING PROVIDER.

Also would like to encourage users of MA and MIUI Community to use the forums more or even suggest ideas to improve and build on the success to keep MA providing Official MIUI Roms to the Community.

If I can ask, why you don't want to go the torrent way? You did so much for the community, let the community give back a little, no? At the very least it could be implemented as a temporary feature, while you sort the mirror problems out.

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to reply....

Torrents are OK for certain things but are open to attacks and all sorts.. like all good things they have some big downsides.

While you may be looking into longer term plans etc. But you could put a simple donate button on the front page. It may not get you a regular amount of money and maybe it wont work long term but I'd be happy to donate something. I'm sure others would too and something is better than nothing.

Are you on the Nexus S?
If so, the build.prop was not updated (which controls the versioning), but rest assured the ROM is 2.2.10.

Yes as has happened in the past the build.prop was not edited (its been a stressful time!) you are on the latest version and you can manually edit build.prop if you feel you need to.

On my websites I utilize a few good men and women in different parts of the world mostly US to get my updates and patches to the masses. For instance must of my nerds are Ubuntu fans so we all use the Ubuntu cloud. So I would list update 1-5 to friend A 6-10 to friend B and so on. It is a whole lot cheaper than yet another dedicated server as long as you have some friends that are reliable. Most of my most reliable people started of as fans just wanting reliable updates. PS we use Ubuntu cloud because its Linux and Ubuntu has thousands of servers around the globe
