Havent installed this rom yet, but I think turning off animations is in developer options (like in previous roms).

Having seen some MIUI 12 reviews on YT, does this rom seems more focused on the aesthetic side of things than the functional (vs miui 11)? Cool animations & graphics at the expense of battery life for example. I presume these animations can be turned off? I ask this because no.1 priority for me...

This is why I will not touch it until several versions have passed. Maybe in a few weeks. Still on 12.12.19 because its working fine.

Thankfully most people mention their phone model, but for those who dont pls remember to do so. We need to know if reported issues affect only your phone or others too. At least it will help us decide whether to download the rom or not based on which phones are affected or not.

You can extract the img file from the Ofox zip if you want to flash via fastboot. For your other questions best to go to lavender forum at XDA and you will find detailed guides or can ask there. OFox also has detailed guide on their site.

I'm using latest beta and everything fine. Magisk can be an issue with some of the betas, so I stopped using it as well.

I noticed similar on my RN5 Pro, though not as bad. Turning off auto-update in Play store resolved it for me.

Very happy with this rom (on RN5 Pro). 4 days, clean install, no root. Magisk caused me some headaches last time, so did not install it this time. Battery life good (with battery saving mode on).

I've learned to live without magisk because of this. A proper working phone is more important to me than rooting.

9.74 running good on RN5 Pro only when unrooted. When I boot into recovery to flash magisk 19.3, it boots to the point where I enter PIN and PW, then shuts off and reboots. Any idea why that is? Thanks.
