Before 10.0.7 i was on 10.0.3 eu stable. Before that i was on locked bootloader an official mi global. When i installed 10.0.3 i had to wipe the phone clean and format data. Then i updated from 10.0.3 eu stable by dirty flashing 10.0.7 over 10.0.3 with only wiping cache and dalvik.

This seems so far the best miui update ever! The phone runs faster than ever, I have no bugs, no problems and battery life is incredible! What is your experience with this update so far?

Long story short: -get the right latest twrp for your phone -get adb and fastboot + adb drivers -boot in twrp using fastboot mode and a pc. No need to install twrp on the phone, just use boot command from the pc with the phone in fastboot mode. -format data using twrp special function for this...

As far as I know eu stable is not based on global stable but ruther on china stable debloated and modified by the eu team. If I am wrong somebody correct me pls.

You can try. Might not work. Definitely DO NOT wipe system. Never wipe system partition! You can back up and restore data locally via the built in system backup app or use Titanium Backup Pro* Root. I do not understand why so many ppl here are reluctant to wipe data? Call log, contacts...
