Xiaomi Redmi 4x Ethernet?

Hello,

on the Xiaomi Redmi 4x I tried to connect an Ethernet Adapeter (PLUGABLE USB 2.0 10/100/1000 GIGABIT ETHERNET ADAPTER), but I do not get an internet connection.

How can I make it work? Is there a software setting I need to adjust or is there some specific adapter I have to use?

I know wi fi , and data connection, but not ethernet for smartphone.

Of course! Android 6 supports Ethernet, the questions is whether this settings is enabled in the phone, by the phone manufacturer. You can google it and you will find lots of users showing it works.

I could not understand which option you mean. There is "USB thethering" on my device, but this when the phone gives/shares its own internet connection to the device connected to the USB.

your right, it's for share it's own connection :/
