Why not make GSIs ?

Hey, I just thought of something, wouldn't it be simpler to make GSIs so everybody can just use the same release of Xiaomi.EU ? I mean you wouldn't have to make device specific ROMs anymore and even Mediatek devices users or devices that just came out would be able to experience Xiaomi.EU. I'm just giving an idea of course, not asking the dev team to do anything but I'm just suggesting something!

You realize that MIUI is not open source and that we build our ROMs from stock ROMs?
