When I was using a Poco F3 with a xiaomi.eu rom I remember having a permission setting on apps which allowed me to control if the app was allowed to read device information, and there was an option to blank all this information, like advertisement identifier tracking, it would return all zeros? But I'm not finding this setting on a Xiaomi 14 with HyperOS eu rom. The closest I see is a "Phone setting" which I can set to allow but return blank phone number.
I know I can go to google settings and reset the advertisement identifier, but I believe it was possible to blank it out for specific apps. Am I dreaming about this? Did I confuse the settings and there has never been such a permission before?
