Hi, despite following many guides on the net I don't manage to get my Xiaomi rooted. As state in the title, my Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has:
- MIUI Global 12.5.1.0
- Android version 11 RKQ1.200826.002
I've done the following steps to root the smartphone:
1) unlocked the bootloader
2) installed TWRP
3) data format over Format -> Data (then not reboot to system)
4) flashed DFE to unencrypt the sdcard data
5) flashed Magisk (tried both with v19.2 and v28.1)
In the 5th step something is wrong. With v19.2 the smartphone start looping and I've to uninstall Magisk, whereas the v28.1 simply ends up with some errors
I don't understand what's wrong with my phone. In the tutorial on the net I noticed that the running MIUI was older than the 12.5.1.0 in most cases. Has the MIUI 12.5.1.0 some countermeasure with the rooting? Someone can help me? I'd need to root the phone to try to recover some lost photos with proper software.
