Serious Camera Malfunction On Redmi Note 2

Hello everyone,
I finally received my Redmi Note 2 after a long wait, and to my surprise I've discovered there's a serious malfunction with the camera focus.
I just can't seem to get a decent image when shooting up close (10-50cm range), everything comes out blurry and unclear.
I tried shooting with/without flash, playing with settings, switching scene modes etc.. nothing helped, the camera just doesn't focus!

I've taken some shots from several distances and compared it with my Meizu MX4, here are the results:

As you can see my Redmi Note 2 images are almost un-readable.
Is it the same with your phone or have I received a faulty one?

Update:
I updated from version 7.0 to 7.2 and the problem still persists.
Any advice on what to do next?

You have couple options:
1. send it back and ask for replacement
2. send it back, ask for refund money and buy something which have warranty in your country
3. buy another one and take this one for spare parts
4. sell it someone who doesn't see very well
5. drop it in the sea and buy something which have warranty in your country
