wish for new profile 2g prefered and only apps in list can change the 2g to 3g
battery drain on 3g data is 3 times more then 2g gprs
most of the time the phone is stby and no need for 3g data but sure for data whats up email sync ect...
it is working by defult in some phones
and change complitly the battery life

Juice defender beta used to have a 2g /3g switcher for when the screen was on / off maybe that could help you.
