Redmmi Note 2 - Locked Out

REDMMI NOTE 2 - LOCKED OUT! HELP!!
Hi, I have been very happy with my Redmi Note 2 phone until two days ago when I tried to switch it on it would boot up and then go off and start up again. It was repeatedly doing this and so I sent it off for repair. After receiving it back, I now can't access my phone. I have been locked out. It comes up with the following information: THIS DEVIC IS LOST

Hi! I lost my pone. I will contact you later. Thank you for understanding.

Activate this device.

I do have an MI account as I remember syncing my photos, contacts, call history etc with Mi Cloud but I don't remember my password. As a result I'm locked out of my phone. I don't know what to do and would be grateful for some advice. Thank you.

Hi, I ran into the same issue while fiddling around with ROMs.
Just go to: http: // en.miui.com / unlock /
and apply for an unlock.
