Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G (amethyst) EU rom has a problem. 120 watt charge is not work on EU rom. Use original charge and cable. Fast charging does not work on EU rom 2.0.7 . When I install the original operating system, it charges at 120 watts. When I install Eu rom, it charges very slowly. Is there a solution to this?

Eu rom 2.0.7 sorry

I found a temporary solution. Connect another 5 amp cable to the 120 watt charger adapter. MI Turbo charge works. But it is not 120 watts. When I look at the ampere program with the original cable, it charges with 1000 mah at most. When I try to charge with another 5 amp cable, I see that it charges with 4500 mah in the ampere program. Of course, it is not 120 watts. It is slower. But it can be used as a temporary solution.

When I charge it with the original charging cable, it charges 1000-1200 mah. When I charge it with another 5 amp charging cable, it charges 4000-4500 mah. When I want to charge it while the phone is off with the original charging cable, the phone turns on by itself. It does not charge when the phone is off. When I install the original operating system, 120 watt charging works. There is a software problem. If you want to use eu-rom, try charging it with a 5 amp charging cable that supports MI Turbo charging but does not support 67 watts or 120 watts. It is not very fast, but it still charges better than the original cable.

There is also another bug. When I turn on the advanced textures option in the display settings, the notifications are transparent and not visible. If you have the same problem, turn off the advanced textures option.

The charging bug is so critical I think they will fix it ASAP, so I'm gonna stay with XIAOEU ROM - sadly I don't think I can find a 5A cable, so I'll have to charge it for hours I guess :/
A really good find tho, if I do find a cable I will defo use it, thank you for that.

And yeah - same thing with the advanced textures: the notifs become completely unreadable... Feels like it's more of Alpha not even Beta, and definitely not Stable to be fair...

EDIT: were you able to activate "Mi Messages"? I can't even sync my mssgs or call history
EDIT2: I wonder if it's gonna charge so slowly even with the phone turned off...
EDIT3: Just as slow as when it's turned on

I have activated Mi messages. I select activate several times and it gives an error. Finally, a box appears that says enter your phone number. I enter my phone number and it activates. But it sends 4-5 text messages until it activates.

I've entered my number into that box 6 times just now - still couldn't activate... I don't know what to think now, I always thought that XIaomi.eu was extremely stable, nearly bug-free and was always my go-to ROM on Xiaomi phones. That's why my last 5 phones were xiaomis... I really hope it gets patched quickly:(

What does charging speed have to do with us? We don't touch hardware features.

So which file do we need to load from the global operating system then? Because you are doing CN. There is 90 watt fast charging in the CN version. Our devices are global. There is 120 watt charging. Drivers are incompatible. Do we need to load firmware? Has orangefox been released for this device?

I'm not sure, I was fairly sure that both turbo charge not working, SIM card not activating and advanced textures breaking are xiaoeu bugs, as they weren't present in the og ROM. But from what the @DR.Ryniach is saying - could it actually be the difference between the "origins" of the ROM? (As in Global vs China?). I thought that China also had 120W charging...

If so, what should we look out for, how can we help to... well, not fix it, since it's not a bug, but workaround this? Idk xd

edit: maybe could be related to the swap they made?
6200 mAh silicon battery, in Chinese and Indian models, that got swapped for a 5100 mAh polymer in the global version
edit2: Skrzypek says China and India only has 90W charging, while only Global has 120W... Not sure what to do next with that information, but maybe that will be helpful.

Which file is related to charging? The NON.HLOS.BIN file related to the modem. We change this file to modem.img for global devices. Do you have any information about which file is related to charging in Eu-rom?

I'm worried it might be in the kernel itself? Although that's a wild guess based on just some research. Let's wait for someone more knowledgeable than me XD

I uploaded the Hyperos 1.0.6 firmware package to eu-rom. I changed 21 files from the eu-rom 2.0.7 installation package to the phone from the global rom installation package. But nothing changed.

I found these when looking through possibilities. Maybe that can be a clue for someone?

When I checked it in the ampere program with the original operating system loaded, it was charging at 14000 mah and charging from zero to 100 in 18 minutes. It is an operating system full of ads, but 120 watt charging works properly. And ampere program full of ads, but it works. After loading eu-rom, when I looked at it in the ampere program, it was charging at a maximum speed of 1090 mah and if you use the phone while the charger is plugged in, it does not charge and its charge decreases. For that reason, I used a cable with a lower amperage feature instead of the original cable. I saw that it was charging at a speed of 4500 mah. I cannot use the original cable. It does not charge at 120 watts, not even at 67 watts. I call out to the developers. Help.

ah yes, phone literally DISchariging when it's plugged into the "charge your phone in 10 minutes to 100% brick" aka 120W, check AccuBattery - phone's barely getting any power (Also, Ampere or Accu has been around for years and it's not some crappy app:)). But if it's not enough, system itself can display the current it's getting, but yeah, that's also crap and ad-infested (Xiaomi, am I right, haha;))

>Xiaomi decides to stop displaying "120W" message and uses "charging quickly" instead because it'd be easier for end users to understand, like, "dude the f**k is 120W lmao, just charge I don't give a damn"
Xiaomi did not stop displaying the 120W message:)
"Quick Charging" message is displayed when charging with standard power:)

>Some users get confused and think "turbo charge" stopped working
Turbo Charge did stop working - look up.

>Pretend to know what the f**k does 120W actually mean
Explain, don't complain then? XD

>Proceed to "build" a new ROM with images from different firmwares
>Phone doesn't turn on

First of all, that's not the order of things that have happened? Nobody here was asking for help with their phone not turning on. You say "different firmwares" like someone was combining softs from literally multiple vendors, for different phones XD
Yes, a fix would be nice, as one of the critical features - Charging your phone - is not working properly.

People who spoke here, were willing to test, debug and experience themselves on how to try to fix the issue, yet you come here and believe we are some ******* privileged people, who expect everything to be done for them.

I can't tell whether you're just some troll, or you really believe in what you're saying - but that's simply disgusting and offensive to everyone included. Yet, you are not going to explain, how "120W" works actually, because... Do you actually know what it is yourself? Do you even own a RN14P+ in the first place and you KNOW in details what are we talking about? XD

Please, restrain from that amount of toxicity, because it simply shows how deeply rooted your own issues might be - Just do it for your own sake and PR.

Edit:
I copied the vendor_boot.img file from globalrom to eu-rom and installed it on the phone. However, the phone did not turn on.
I hope it didn't brick your phone tho?... :/

Also, look, the developer above says to test it yourself. We are trying to test it too. Does the criticizing friend use his phone only to watch p*rn on the internet? Because he swears all the time. :)
