I just updated my phone and I see some system elements that animate so slow, is this normal for the HyperOS 2 version or is it a bug?

Like for example when swiping from the control center there is huge delay and it animates so slowly, same thing for the notification shade.

I hope this gets fixed on the next update ^^

For a weak device like that - I'd assume it's normal.
On our ROMs certain animations and effects intended for mid-end and/or high-end devices are unlocked for all, which could be too much for Snapdragon 685.

The animations where normal and snappy on HyperOS 1 how come it became slow on HyperOS 2?
Of course, you just updated to Android 15, and every update is intended to make your device slower so you get a new one in the near future. You can always downgrade if you're not happy with the choppiness of HOS2.
Disable advanced textures and enable 120Hz refresh rate to feel a little smoothness boost

Hello, regarding with the animations on the control center and notification shade I have found out that the animations are smooth when in 60hz but slow (not like in a stuttering way) in 120hz. Any idea why?

I hope this gets patched in the next update, cause I have a feeling this is just a bug. Kudos

I'd suggest you to flash a custom kernel, I'm currently using this: Anything-Balanced UPDATE *240825

Download and flash via TWRP/OFRP, if you want to revert to stock kernel, flash original boot.img

Just don't flash the latest release (October 9) it will cause a boot loop.

What does that do though?
