Until now there is a very annoying thing with Spotify icon that didn't happen with the previous stable version.

Why have you restored the backup if you haven't make a wipe data??

Edit: for backup have you used the in-built app or TWRP ?
 
After updating via TWRP and wiping the cache and dalvik my phone almost works fine. Only the Mi gallery and the note app keep crashing. For the notes app clearing the cache worked. The gallery keeps annoying and crashes every 5 minutes, even though I don't use it.

Upgrade from which version? Seems you did a downgrade.. Wipe data required..

I used the 8.1 stable before, I believe. There was a stable released on Jan 20th or so, which didn't stay for long in the downloads-section. That could explain it. Of course I tried to wipe cache and dalvik cache. Any other options to fix that, without having to wipe completely again?

Edit: never mind. I must have downloaded and flashed a xiaomi.eu weekly from Jan 23rd. I will just stay with the weeklies then.

I've used in-built app.
The problem with Spotify icon is related with my previous theme "highlive", after switch to another everything is well.
Everything else is fine until now.
It seems that with this version there is more available RAM (probably a better memory management).
I like a lot the new feature that shows how many data used for the day and the possibility to define a daily limit.

Very nice version.

Battery it's a little early to say anything but it seems normal as before (I use my phone with everything on and a lot of waze).

Mine have same issues. Install 8.2.1 from dev 7.2.9 with wipe cache, davik, system but not data. Any suggestions?

Anyone try connecting smart watch or smart band with redmi 4 prime.
I use smart watch iwomn i7 but it's hard to connect via Bluetooth.
Miband 2 connecting very good but other smart watch cannot.
Bluetooth headset or transfer files between 2 smartphone is ok.
I use rom update everyweek but this bug not solved.
Anyone know how to fix this, thanks.

You don't need to reinstall all apps if you wipe just cache and dalvik cache . Only if you make a factory reset you have to do that. Usually, if you don't change developer branch (example from Dev ROM to Stable ROM) for upgrade you have to make just that two wipes.
