Redmi 3s All Day At Edge/gprs

Hi,
I have the same problem, the mobile stay at edge network even when I have 3G coverage/signal (tested with other mobile).

I have tried differents rooms but all have same issue

Could be any config at the engineering tool? and deselect the china bands??

For me looks like a bug

I can confirm the issue on 7.21 and 7.28 EU weekly ROM and on EU stable. Phone is set to prefer WDCMA and after reboot phone connects to 3G. On signal drop / reduction it connects to 2G and will never go back to 3G. Issue is 3S specific - I have Redmi 3 by me with SIM on the same mobile network and issue only occurs on 3S.
 
Hey mate try this .. Setting> about phone > tap internal memory 5-6x> Phone info > select prefered network type > i set it to LTE/wcdma

Hi mate, thanks but I have already try this and the mobile keeps having same issue. I tried different configuration there but same issue. Install some programs from google play reinstall different roms... same issue

Hm, I don't have that problem. In one side of my apartment only GPRS/EDGE is available. When I move to another side, mobile phone automatically switches to 3G. Did you try another SIM card slot?
 
It's a problem that happens to many people. You should experiment it in a future, tell us later.

I do have this problem too! It is so anoying...
MIUI 8 6.7.21 (Weekly)

It seems like a bug to me.
 
same problem here.that`s what i call battery saving :) as a workaround for now i am turning on gps and using it (when the gps logo light up at the top bar i am getting H+)

MIUI ver. 7.5.1.0 Stable

they are going to fix this? because only I can use the phone with wifi. 3g never works
if in a week you do not fix I buy another phone...

I think that's not the problem we are experiencing here. We have signal but locked on "E" almost all the time. You can browse the internet but it is really slow. The phone never comes back to H/H+ even when we are on an area with full 3G coverage.

Same issue here, very annoying. Workaround of turning GPS on works, but I am wondering if this issue is being worked on?
