Question Update From Miui 7.3 6.3.17 Developere Android 5.1.1 Lmy47v

Hello,
I want to update my Mi4c 3/32 gb from MIUI 7.3 by xiaomi.eu 6.3.17 developer Android version 5.1.1 LMY47V, to last MIUI 9 weekly with Android 7.

Can I do this directly from MIUI 7.3 to MIUI 9 or do I have to instal MIUI 8 and then MIUI 9?

Can I do everything with Xiaomitool software?

My mi4c come with unlocked bootloader, the update to MIUI 9 will lock it or not?

Do you have any suggestion on wich MIUI 9 weekly works better?

Sorry for all the questions but I change the rom of my device almost 2 years ago and I don't want to loose my data or brick my phone.

Last thing: after installing MIUI 8 rom 6.12.22 weekly, can I install the last MIUI 9.1 7.11.16 weekly or do I need to install MIUI 9 7.2.9 weekly before?


do you think that I can do all the update and the twrp install with xiaomitool?

I'll start doing the backup from the settings menu of the MIUI 7.3 that i have on my mobile, and then i'll do all the updates.

When do you suggest to restore the backup? after the installation of MIUI 9 or even after the installation of MIUI 8?
