Question about AX3600 mesh

I live in a 3 floors house and have an AX3600 as my router on the middle floor with an AX1800 in mesh on the ground floor. I may need to move my router to the top floor in which case I would need an additional mesh (on the middle floor). Two questions: firstly will the mesh work with the ground floor now too remote from the router, but within range of the middle floor mesh node; and secondly, is the AX3000T a suitable addition as the new node? Any advise would be most welcome.

I have a similar situation to yours. I also have an AX3600 and two AX1800 connected in a MESH network. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased an AX3000T thinking that since it's AX, I could seamlessly expand my mesh network, but I've been trying without any luck. The AX3600 and 1800 are configured through the Mi Wi-Fi app, while the AX3000T is configured through the Xiaomi Home app, and it's not possible to configure the AX3600 within that app.

It looks like we're locked into "old technology" then. I'll probably survive for a bit then replace the Xiaomi's with a Wifi7 setup.
