Problems Charger Mi5s

Hello everyone, I'm new on this forum but I wanted to ask you a question ..
Putting to charge my Mi5s tonight I noticed that the charger does not recognize the USB cable! (Practically does not begin charging)
I live in Italy and I have this adapter, he could be the cause of the problem? Or at least I can use chargers that are not Xiaomi? (Nokia, Apple, Samsung)
Or do you to connect your USB cable to a common adapter without using the battery charger?

You can try your xiaomi charger on another phone too.
