Hello! When I select sound (on chat) different that the system one in few hours or few days at most - my sound disappears and remains silent. Only if I leave the default sound I have no problems. I use the stable version of Telegram. Android 9 Xiaomi redmi note 7. Also obtained in redmi S2.

That's because Telegram uses notificationManager.deleteNotificationChannel and then recreates it with whichever settings the app decides, overriding your personalized notification settings, which is a dirty move on the developers' part. The solution! There is no problem if the sound is tuned by the application itself.
