No space left on device flashing ROM

Hi, yesterday I tried to flash xiaomi.eu ROM on my MI9T (davinci); coming from PE12.
When I typed

adb push ROM /sdcard

adb said that there was no space left on device to push it.
The ROM's size is 2.99GB.
I wrote df -h on TWRP's terminal, and it turned out that rootfs is only 2.6GB.
How can I resize it?

do "adb push rom.zip /sdcard/rom" without "" while you are in the OS
then flash the zip and format data afterwards

no the problem is that the size of the partition where /sdcard is is 2.5GB

thats very odd...
It works for me being in the OS typing in adb push rom.zip sdcard
try without the slash
Otherwise try going back to stock rom with the normal rom and MiFlash tool and then flash TWRP and the xiaomi.eu ROM again

You mix up stuff here that bare no relevance. Size of /sdcard is not related to rootfs size (basically, system partition).
First make sure internal storage is mounted.
Then push the ROM to /sdcard:

adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ROM.zip

SOLVED: I changed and i pushed it to /data instead of /sdcard
