No MTP Option in Mi 11

Hi, I'm trying to use a Windows programme that transfers my WhatsApp messages from my old iPhone to a new Miui 11 but there's no MTP option under USB settings - so the Miui 11 is not recognised when I connect it to my PC. In fact it does nothing - only intermittent charging every now and then.
I've tried toggling on USB debugging and using different ports and cables and still no luck..
My phone is running Android 11 and my PC Windows 10.
I've searched everywhere online for a fix but can't seem to find any kind of solution that works.
If anyone can help with how to get MTP as a USB option on an Miui 11, I would be very grateful!

It works here just fine. Connected with an cable to PC it asks me what I want, charging, transfer files.. It may be something wrong with drivers or something alike on your PC.. BTW I'm using Linux.

Also it works on Global, EEA, Xiaomi.eu for me.

Is there no notification or is there a notification and no MTP available?

• No notification
  • Settings -> Apps -> Manage apps -> Android System -> Notifications -> USB connection
  • * Toggle on "Show notifications"
  • * Set "Importance" to "Minimal"

• Notification and no MTP
  • Install USB drivers

Hi, have you looked in the settings?
