MIUI 12 Stable E3004: This package is for curtana, this is a joyeuse

I have Note 9 Pro Global. Downloaded corresponding ROM https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv12/

Installed the TWRP 3.4.1b-0530

But when trying to install the ROM, i will get that error? What am I doing wrong ?

You are trying install ROM for Curtana (Note 9S) to Joyeuse (Note 9 Pro).

We haven't MIUI 12 ROM for Joyeuse yet.

This file is ROM ONLY for Redmi Note 9S (Curtana):
xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote9Pro_HMNote9S_V12.0.1.0.QJWMIXM_v12-10.zip

Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro = global Redmi Note 9S. It have Curtana code name.

Global Redmi Note 9 Pro have Joyeuse code name.

Therefore, it is better to use code names to recognize models.

You are right, its very confusing. Xiaomi has caused a lot of chaos in labeling the models.


If there will be ROM for global model Redmi Note 9 Pro, install file will looks like file for latest MIUI 11 ROM:
xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote9ProEU_V11.0.7.0.QJZMIXM_v11-10.zip

Importan is code "QJZMIXM" in filename, its global model Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse). And also string "Note9ProEU" in filename
Code "QJWMIXM", its global model Note 9S (Curtana). It has string "Note9S" in filename.

If there is string "Note9S" in filename, you can't install it on global Redmi note 9 Pro (Joyeuse).
