I have a Mi8 which casts to my TV but leaves a very thick black bar at the top of the screen when casting from Google photos. I had the Xiaomi global rom (unlocked) so I installed the eu rom (10.0.9.0) but its still the same. Its the same casting via NVIDEA Shield and to a Chromecast device and its only google photos - youtube, bbc iplayer etc work fine. I've been onto google and got through to their 3rd line and after doing loads of diagnostics they are adamant its the phone.
Does anyone else have this issue please before I throw it in the bin.
If you've got an Mi8 can you test it and tell me if its just mine please.
