MI 9 SE - MIUI 12

All,

i've done the update on my phone MI 9 SE via OTA to MIUI 12 from 11. Since then got issues with headset.
when making calls or receiving calls, people can hear me, but can't hear them anymore on the headset.

Voice on speaker works, as well as normal phone voice.

Only headset doesn't work.

Noticed wthat when I plug the original Type-C to 3.5mm into the phone, I hear a clic sound.

tried multiple headsets, also multiple original adapters - nothing

I have MI 9 SE and face the same issue, basically I cannot use my headphones during calls, only when listening to music.
This is super annoying. Anyone found a solution?
I updated to 12.0.2.0 and still nothing. The support was of no help.

Sent it twice for repair and nothing hardware to be detected as an issue. It seems to be software and for me my phone was working all fine till I OTA upgraded from MIUI 11 to MIUI 12. Xiaomi suggested to raise this on the phone feedback forum where is goes to developpers. Waiting....

I've sent them logs and reports through the feedback app, still no results. It used to work on MIUI 11, I don't know why the can't solve this and push a fix, this is a a basic functionality. I can't use my phone as a phone, ridicilous.
