Location Smart Lock Not Working

Has anyone been able to use location-based smart lock on their device?
I have a trusted location listed under Settings -> Additional Settings -> Privacy -> Smart Lock, have a lock screen (pattern), enabled Smart Lock (Google) as a trust agent ... no go. Location services are enabled.
Updated to 5.11.26 weekly, did not fix. Phone still asks for unlock pattern all the time.

Yes, GPS is activated and works normally in all other apps.

Same here, and the bluetooth smart lock has a same issue, Both worked perfecly on AOSP rom.

Tried enabling it with a friend's Mi 4c, same results.
I think it's a bug with MIUI. How can I file a bug report?

Please guys not create a bug report here, I think we have a xiaomi ppl here but i don't think want working here, so please report the bugs into the official miui site

I noticed there's a setting to enable the smart lock feature in the xposed module xMIUI. Seems to work for me now.
