It does NOT detect the sim card

Good morning, yesterday I bought the Xiaomi MI 9T, after turning it on and making all the relevant updates via Wi-Fi, I tried to introduce the SIM card and it did not detect it. The card works with other mobile devices, and I have tried to introduce several different cards from several friends with their respective companies and it is not able to detect any. I have read online that it could be a problem with the ROM version, but it seems very strange since it is a completely new mobile with the global ROM.


I would appreciate any help before going to the store to claim a possible defective phone.

Could be a defect on your sample. A brand new phone should work out of the box.

Assumed you introduce the sim card in the right place and position, it should be detected immediately.
Send this phone back for warranty.
