There was no mistake, the translators just haven't localized the relevant strings yet.
As said here, report to your language's repository. They need to localize these strings in miuisystem.apk:

For the new large clock+date, it's specifically "miui_lock_screen_large_date" (24-hour) and "miui_lock_screen_large_date_12" (12-hour).
