My original screen protector had a little damage after a drop, so I changed it for a generic gel screen protector.
Since then, I have had very low in call volume. Fine on speaker but not in ear.
This week my Nillkin curved glass screen protector arrived. Easy to fit with the plastic template.
Now in call volume is back to normal. I tried to see from the teardown if the in call ear speaker was attached to the rear of the screen but couldn't see but I think that it is and the nillkin curved glass screen protector allows better sound transfer.
So if you replace your factory fitted screen protector and then have in call sound issues, try another screen protector. Just thought I would let everyone know in case it happens to anyone else.
