Hello

I'm new to owning a xiaomi device always wanted on since I saw the mi3 finally bought one after my Samsung s6 died *R.I.P* .I was wondering if I install the xiaomi EU ROMs will I be able to use fdd LTE, I bought a mi4c TD in not even sure if there is an actual fdd version but the seller I bought it from said it ran on their custom ROM that allows it to support fdd which it does but I asked for where I can get updates for the ROM they never told me and it's aren't available and phone seems to be not rooted, factory clean with a locked bootloader. I don't want to change anything until knowing what to do and if I'll be still able to support fdd frequencies. I couldn't find anything about it only one thing on XDA someone saying if you install xiaomi EU rom you will be able to support TD but it only stated it for the resin note 2. So I am unsure. Also on my device when I got to -> about device it says I'm running
miui global 7.3.2.0.0(LXKCNDD)
And I am unable to find OTA updates

I guess the real answer to your question lays in your location... Different Carriers use different bands...However Mi4c supports these bfs by default:
2G GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz; CDMA BC0/BC1
3G WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz; CDMA BC0/BC1
4G FDD-LTE: 1800/2100/2600MHz; TDD-LTE: Bands 38(TD 2600) / 39(TD 1900) / 40(TD 2300) / 41(TD 2500)
Thanks for the quick reply and answer I was wondering because the seller confused me by saying it's TD model that supports FDD with custom ROM they install so I was confused thank you I understand now
