Help - error7 (md5)

Hi all,

I was trying to update my rom to the xiaomi.eu_multi_MINote3_V10.2.3.0.OCHCNFK_v10-8.1, but i am getting constantly the error7 on the twrp (3.1.1.0).

Something about an md5 file. I am stuck at this point.

I had similar problem on mi note 3 and I cleared all data from the updater app and it worked.

I dont even have that option on my updater.

My actual rom version is xiaomi.eu_multi_MINote3_V9.5.8.0.NCHCNFA_v9-7.zip

This is what it worked:

Deleted the 1st line on the below file with notepad++

\xiaomi.eu_multi_MINote3_V10.2.3.0.OCHCNFK_v10-8.1\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script

All good now, rom working!

Your TWRP is old, update it. That first line checks whether the device is correct so you don't mistakenly flash the ROM on the wrong device. Might not be so lucky next time if the updater script uses something else that only newer TWRP has.
