Google/Gemini Assistant Keeps Getting Disabled After Clearing RAM – Any Fix?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Xiaomi 15 (China ROM) and, as expected, I ran into several challenges when trying to get Google services to work properly. One of the biggest issues I faced was setting up Google Assistant (Gemini Assistant) as my default assistant. After a lot of research and trial and error, I finally managed to set it as my phone's default assistant, and it works! However, I’ve noticed an annoying issue.

After a certain period (a few hours to a day), when I try to activate the assistant, I get a prompt saying that Google Assistant is not set as the default and that I need to set it again in the settings. After doing so, it works temporarily, but the issue keeps repeating itself.

After some testing, I believe I have found the cause. The assistant gets disabled every time I clear my phone’s RAM—either by pressing the "Boost" button or by closing all background apps. Each time I do this, Google Assistant seems to get removed from memory, and I have to manually set it as the default assistant again.

I’ve already tried locking the app in the Recent Apps section, but that didn’t help. I also thought about adding Gemini as an exclusion from the RAM boost and RAM clear process, but after searching through the settings, I couldn’t find such an option.

So, my question is: Is there any way to prevent Google/Gemini Assistant from being closed when clearing RAM? In other words, is there a way to make it "RAM clear proof" so that it stays active in the background no matter what?

If anyone has found a workaround or has any settings to tweak, I’d really appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance!
