From Rom Stable En To Weekly Eu

Hi all,
Today I have updated my version of MIUI on my MI4:

Before I had V7.1.1.0.KXDMICK stable version EN (version android 4.4),
Now (after update) I have Miui 7.3 (6.3.17) EU (version android 6.0.1 MMB29M)

My question is:
It is possible that I have updated simply downloading version 6.3.17 (renamed update.exe) and installed on my mi4?
Will I have problem of compatibility or system errors?

Not so straightforward, have a look at recent posts in mi4 section.
Shortest path would be that after merge partition, user need to install twrp then wipe and flash latest rom from it.

Thank you for the fast replay.

I read some post of other user, so I had:

1) Installed adb/fastboot (1.4.2 t0olkit) on pc;
2) Downloaded TWRP 3.0 for Cancro on pc;
3) Download the version Miui 7.3 (6.3.17) EU on directory of MI4;
4) Put phone in Fastboot mode (Turn off, and boot presing Power and Vol -) and connect it to your PC;
5) Go on the directory where you downloaded the twrp, click Shift and do Right Click, open command window here, drag the file TWRP (of point n°2) inside the black window command and then press enter;
6) Keep pressed Power and Volume + till the device reboots into recovery (twrp 3.0);
7) Installed Miui 7.3 (6.3.17) EU;
8) Click on "Wipe dalvik+cache".

In your opinion now I'm OK?

PS: But now the recovery mod is always "twrp 3.0"?

Yes I think it should do pretty well if you had already the merged partitions. Is your device running well at your end?

You can disable it from security permissions... I always disabled it since mm...
