From 6.1.29 To Newest...

Hi to everyone!
I have a Redmi Note 2 Prime running 6.1.29 (5.o2), with an old TWRP (something like 2.8, sometimes freeze).
What i have to do to upgrade this phone? I need first to update the recovery or I can update via app Updater?

Just download latest weekly and install with your 'old' TWRP. New TWRP is included in Rom and will be updated too. Please do full backup before update rom. And do not wondering about missing (old) backups you can not see in new TWRP. Folder for backups has changed from old to new TWRP. The backups are not lost - they are in old TWRP folder....

EDIT : Update via Updater app should work. App uses your TWRP.

Yes. Boot into TWRP. The version number of TWRP installed normally is shown in TWRP welcome screen' and the headline of TWRP itself. .

Yes, just look on the upper part of the screen.
