Fingerprint Scanner Always Active? Why?

Can i turn it off?
I don't like when i take phone in my hand and by mistake touch fingerprint scanner, which lead to screen ON...

I don't want it... :/

Any chance i can turn it off...

I can't reproduce your issue. If I touch the fingerprint sensor on my Redmi Note 4 with an unrecognized finger my phone just vibrates shortly but the screen stays off. Only the correct fingerprint is turning on the screen.
On the other hand I could not find an option to turn off the fingerprint sensor completely.
