Fastboot or TWRP Poco F3

I am new to custom ROM. After I unlocked my bootloader, I am installing the xiaomi.eu ROM. But, I have seen that installation using fastboot will prohibit you from updating using OTA. I am not sure though. Is it better to install using TWRP or fastboot. If TWRP is better, how do you install it. And if I install using fastboot, do I have to manually update it using the computer everytime an update comes through?

At the moment fastboot is the only way to install, because there is no working TWRP for Android 12. More info here:
