Hi guys!

Anyone having experience with a Xiaomi Mi5 and 4G in the Netherlands or Europe?
Is it compatible with 800 MHz frequencies? I can't really figure it out.

Thanks!
Richard

It's depend of your carrier if he uses more a frequency than other

Thanks for your input!
I've checked it with my carrier. They support mostly 800 MHz, but they are increasing the 1800 MHz coverage.
Since Xiaomi only supports 1800 MHz, it will just become better with time.

800MHz is important when u're inside home/building because of the less frequency, waves are passing through the walls easily.

Me to want to say something for Mi 5 Pro models; going like the charms 4G on the TIM Network…

Almost no LTE here in Germany with o2.
They're using 800mhz mainly, even in cities where the LTE network is often overused.

Same here, but sometimes...

Great speed. Such speeds can only be reached via 1800mhz or 2600 lte.Unfortunately, these LTE bands aren't used much by o2 like Telekom does.

I know mate, I'm on O² as well...sigh..I'm still in good hope there will be a hack to make band 20 work...

Yeah, me too. If there's no way to unlock B20 , I'll go to Telekom. Even if my current o2(Base) plan is fantastic.

thats a speed test i made recently indoor on the sunrise 4g network in switzerland. its pretty good, reaching nearly the 100mbit 4g is promising.

Durchschnitt = average/mean.
schnellste Sekunde = fastest second

just spend 3 weeks in greece and I am currently in Venice.
no problems getting 4g in both countries on my mi5.

As it doesn't have Band20 (800mhz) enabled, there's nothing much we can do. I use my mi5 with H+ on my provider, as it's the only one in the country that uses solely 800mhz for LTE. Other two are using bands 3 & 7 (1800 & 2600), so there i would have 4G at least sometimes. But H+ is ok too i guess.
