Downloading the newest Xiaomi-EU-Rom via Update-Tool?

Hey guys,

I flashed my Mi 8 (chinese Version) with the Xiaomi.eu-ROM a few weeks ago. Till now, everything works fine.

I'm just wondering, if I now can update the Xiaomi.eu-ROM via OTA. I do see the "Updater-App" my system and it shows that there is an update. Additionally above the "download-button" is the Xiaomi.EU-Logo, but I'm not sure if it will update the newer EU-ROM or the official (chinese/global) ROM.
--> I simply don't want to risk a bricked phone

I'm pretty sure you guys know how it works.

well, I tried to and the device said sth. like "will restart in recovery-mode. But afterwards it was shut down and did not turn on again, until i started manuelly into Fastboot and afterwards turn it on regularly

Mi 8 is quite new device, it does not have official Pie compatible TWRP yet (AFAIK), there might be small hiccups with unofficial TWRP builds. When it gets official TWRP it should go without problems.

and what about updating via OTA? I thought, that I't will work like on every other device. Simply push "Install" and it will worl out fine...
