Diffrence in battery life on LineageOS versus xiaomi.eu

Hi,
I want to flash a custom ROM (Haven't decided which one yet but probably I'll test LineageOS then decide) but I've heard that Redmi Note 9 Pro has worse battery life on LineageOS than on xiaomi.eu/Official ROM (global)

Is this true and if yes, by how much?

That is true, however YMMV if you install other kernels while on LineageOS. But, yes, Stock ROM and Kernal perform better for most devices, at least the ones I've owned in the past, like Nexus 4 and OP3. This is true even for Note 9 (curtana)
