Hello. I want to root my device, į have it for over a month.

The guide tells me to to go to dev options-mi unlock status-add device, but then i get the error 'Couldn’t add. Please go to Mi Community to a...'

I didnt proceed with rooting the device.

Will i be able to successfuly root? Why i have this message? Phone is international(imei checks out) oam unlocked.

If you want to unlock your bootloader, you need to apply within the Mi Community application.

The error message you're seeing is likely due to Xiaomi's policy requiring users to bind their device to a Mi account for at least 7 days (sometimes 15-30 days) before allowing bootloader unlocking.

Since you've had the device for over a month, try the following:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the internet and your Mi account is synced.
  2. Go to the Mi Unlock Status page and try adding your device again.
  3. If you still get the error, try waiting a few more days and then try again.
  4. If the issue persists, you can try contacting Xiaomi support or checking the Mi Community forums for help.
As for rooting, you should be able to successfully root your device once you've unlocked the bootloader. However, proceed with caution and follow a reputable guide to avoid any potential risks or issues.
